Rebecca “Becky” J. Brigham Payne

MEDINA – Becky went to heaven on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the North Wing skilled nursing facility at Medina Memorial Hospital at the age of 78.

She was born to a strong, single mother and enjoyed growing up with her brothers and cousins, The Fullers – Bob, Bud, Paul, Barb, Betty and Dottie. She graduated from Medina High School in 1963, where she was a proud member of “The J’Bones.”

Becky is predeceased by her mom, Jane Brigham; a brother, Dean Brigham and a granddaughter, Marlee Jane Pecoraro.

She is survived by her children, Melinda (Mike) Hill, Brian (Teri) Payne and Cindy (Loyd) Denniston; grandchildren, Jack (Lily) and Corinne Hill, Cora (Wesley) and Xander Payne, Brett (Chelsea), Chase (Kendall), Mason, Tessa (Rylend) Pecoraro, Sean (Adrian) and Payton Denniston; and great-grandsons, Kingston and Kash Callicutt.

Per Becky’s request, her body will be donated to UB School of Medicine with hopes that she can help those with multiple sclerosis (MS), a wretched disease that she fought hard against since February 1974.

There will be no prior visitation or calling hours. If you wish to make a donation in Becky’s honor, she would request that it go to North Wing Skilled Nursing Facility at Medina Hospital where the staff took excellent care of her and are truly angels walking the Earth.
