Raymond Paul “Ray” Mosier, 85, of Holley and formerly of Rochester, passed away on March 24, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. He was born Oct. 9, 1933 in Rochester to the late Clarence and Mary (Fernandez) Mosier.

Ray was a skilled craftsman as his vocation, and he had a great reputation in the area as an excellent cabinet maker. He always “said it straight” whenever he was talking to anyone, and he lived his life the way he wanted. In his younger years, he enjoyed speed skating, and he always preferred quality-made goods. In his spare time, Ray enjoyed going to auctions, watching classic movies, and collecting antiques.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Clarence Jr.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Penny; sons, Teddy (Regina) of Rochester, Greg (Lynn) of South Carolina, Shawn of Clarendon, and Terry of Clarendon; grandchildren, Raymond, Shannon, AJ and Jake; and great-grandchildren, Mason, Kennedy, Anthony and Terran.

The family will receive friends at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 16650 State Route 31, Holley NY 14470, on Tue., March 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. Ray’s graveside service will be held Wed., March 27 at Mt. Albion Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Please enter in the westernmost gate and proceed to the back of the cemetery.
