Rae Greco
ALBION – Rae Greco passed away May 4, 2025 at home, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born September 26, 1927 in Albion, NY, the daughter of James and Sarah (Burgio) Pilato.
Rae graduated from Albion High School and the State University of New York at Albany with graduate work at the University of Buffalo. Her teaching experience, in English and foreign language, began in Northern New York State and continued after her marriage to Joseph C. Greco July 25, 1951. She taught at Wilson High School and retired as a permanent substitute teacher in the Lockport School System.
Rae was a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Church and it’s Altar and Rosary Society, a longtime member of Lockport College Women’s Club, the Kenan Arts Council, the Western New York Retired Teachers Association and the New York State Retired Teacher’s Organization.
She is survived by her children John (Christine) Greco, Kathryn (Joseph) Manley and Joan (late Charles) Aul; grandchildren Matthew, Joshua, Daniel and Samuel Greco, Ryan (Grace) Manley and Megan (Louis) Feaman and great grandchildren Luke and Isabella Rae Manley and Logan, Kathryn and Everett Feaman.
In addition to her parents, Rae was predeceased by her husband Joseph Greco, who passed away in 1979, her sister Florence Burnett and her grandson Mark Conlen Manley.
She will be deeply missed by many close friends who dearly loved her and were considered part of her cherished family.
There will be no prior visitation. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport, NY.
