Paul Raymond Wood

Paul Raymond Wood, 90, of Holley, NY passed away on Thu., June 2, 2022 after a short illness.

Paul was born Oct. 22, 1931, to the late Raymond and Lillian Wood (Doane). He grew up in Rochester, NY before joining the Navy in 1952. He was in active duty as an aircraft mechanic onboard the USS Oriskany (CV/CVA-34) and was honorably discharged in 1956. After the Navy, he joined Eastman Kodak where he worked until 1986 and retired after 35 years. In retirement, Paul loved to transform the woods on his property into a park-like setting. He enjoyed woodworking, making numerous toys for his grandchildren and various cabinetry and furniture for the house. He was an avid lake trout fisherman on Keuka Lake where he owned a lake house in Hammondsport, NY. Many wonderful family vacations and memories were created on Keuka Lake.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia; children: Tammy Wood, Timothy (Sandra) Wood, and Sherry Wood; grandchildren: Andrew, Sara (Seth), TJ, Monique, Brandon, and Aaliyah; great-grandchildren: Millie and Maelani. Thank you to Tom and Kathleen Bates for always being there for us and special niece, Sandy Thomas, for the many breakfasts and baked goods.

A graveside memorial service will be held on June 10, 11 am, at Mount Albion Cemetery at the VA companion section.
