Patricia R. Sargent

Patricia R. Sargent, of Albion, passed away Nov. 26, 2019 with family by her side. Born Oct. 15, 1937 in Albion, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Gurzynski) Rice.

A lifetime resident of Albion, Pat worked for a short time at Bemis Brothers Bag Company before marrying Carl H. Sargent in 1960. She then devoted herself to her family with love, patience, caring, and a witty sense of humor.

She is survived by her husband, Carl “Sonny;” son, Kevin (Pam) Sargent of Albion; daughter, Karla (Dave) Goddard of Pleasant Valley, N.Y.; granddaughter, Stefanie (James) Peruzzini of Albion; great-granddaughters, Kendall and Kamryn; grandson, Phillip Sargent of Albion; dear sisters, Virginia DeFilipps and Joann D’Andrea; many loved nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, William (Barbara) Sargent; and sister-in-law, Shirley Bielak.

Patricia is predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Boccaccio; and brothers, John and Leonard Rice.

A Mass will be heard at Holy Family Roman Catholic Parish, W. Park Street, Albion, on Sat., Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend. Private memorial services will be at the convenience of the family.

Donations may be made to Alzheimer’s research, a local SPCA, or a cat rescue society of your choice. Flowers are gratefully declined.
