Patricia M. Prawel

Patricia M. Prawel, 70, of Gasport, died unexpectedly April 27, 2019 at her residence. She was born April 15, 1949 in Medina, the daughter of Robert and Shirley (Britt) Yaxley, and was a lifelong resident of the area.

Patricia was a faithful member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Lockport and was a volunteer with the Reflections Ministry for over 20 years. She also volunteered extensively with CareNet Pregnancy Center. In addition to enjoying shopping and gardening, she was a very devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and helping others.

Mrs. Prawel was predeceased by a sister, Judith Bias.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Albert; five children, Kelly (Mark) DiMartile of Lockport, Stephanie (Adam) Schifferle of Middleport, Christian (Rebekkah) Prawel of Texas, David Prawel of Lockport and Jordan Prawel of Lockport; a brother, James Yaxley of Texas; a sister, Cheryl (Ed) Ayers of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Nick, Jenna, Madison, Bailey, Eve, Quinn and Maxell; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St., Gasport, on Wed., May 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend Patricia’s funeral service on Thu., May 2 at 10 a.m. at Faith Tabernacle Church, 5676 Beattie Ave., Lockport.

Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
