Norma J. Horn

MEDINA – Norma J. Horn, 84, of Medina, NY, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Buffalo General Hospital with her loving family at her side. She was born on September 13, 1936 in the state of Texas, a daughter of the late Harry and Gladys (Petty) Jump.

Norma grew up in Texas and she met and married the late Donald Horn and together they moved to the Medina area, where they raised four children. She was employed as an EMT for COVA Ambulance and also was a school bus driver for two local school districts. Norma also enjoyed her work as a Dietitian for Medina Memorial Hospital.

Norma was a faithful member of the Oak Orchard Assembly of God Church and in her spare time she enjoyed reading, spending time with her grandchildren, especially while camping in the Adirondack Mountains and was a diehard Buffalo Bills fan.

Norma is survived by four children, Mike (Cindy) Horn of Albion, Dennis Horn of Titusville, FL, Donald Horn of Medina, and Donna (Scott Moore) Horn of Batavia; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a sister, Erna May Lathem of Texas and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she is predeceased by a granddaughter, Olivia Horn, and a daughter-in-law, Sue Ann Horn.

Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, November 21, 2020, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Oak Orchard Assembly of God Church, 12111 Ridge Rd, Medina, NY 14103, where a going home service will be held at 12:00 PM with the Pastor, Rev. Daniel A. Thurber officiating. Burial will be in the Bates Road Cemetery, Medina. Wearing of masks and social distancing will be mandatory.

The family is requesting that if you own any Buffalo Bills apparel, to please wear it to the funeral.
