Mildred M.” Millie” Leonard

LYNDONVILLE – Mildred M.” Millie” Leonard, 93, of Lyndonville, NY, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Medina, NY.

She was born on June 10, 1931, in Proctor, PA, the daughter of the late Gideon and Edith (Maley) Lewis.

Millie was married to the late Donald E. Leonard at a young age, and they raised five children together. In 1965, they moved to the Lyndonville area, and worked various jobs, including the family-run sawmill. She also worked for 22 years at the Lyndonville Vinegar Co. until her retirement. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and playing scratch-offs. Millie was also known for her love of felines.

Millie is survived by her three children, Terry (Betty) Leonard, Walter (Kris) Leonard, and Wanda (John) Donald; a son-in-law, Lawernce Slattery, and a daughter-in-law, Claudia Barber Leonard; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Millie is predeceased by a daughter, Linda Slattery, and a son, Donald W. Leonard.

As per Millie’s wishes, there are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the family’s convenience.
