LYNDONVILLE – Mattie Frances Davis, 63, of Lyndonville, NY, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at her home with her loving family at her side. She was born on November 14, 1957 in Tampa, FL, a daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy (Robinson) Davis Sr.

Mattie confessed her belief in Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Byler Rd. Church of Christ in Mouton, Alabama.

She attended Lyndonville Central School. Mattie was known by family and friends to be a strong, tough and loyal person. She was a fighter to the very end and those traits are what we will always love about her. Mattie was a funny, straightforward person. In her life, she cherished cooking and gardening, until her wealth wouldn’t allow it. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and dear friends.

Besides her parents, Mattie is predeceased by her grandparents, Bennie and Velma Robinson and Pink and Frances Davis; and two sisters, Gloria Davis and Latricia “Pat” Davis.

She leaves to mourn in her passing a sister, Sue (Steve) Wolf of Mouton, AL; two brothers, Henry (Melissa) Davis Jr. of Lyndonville, NY, and Bennie Davis of Huntsville, AL. Also mourning are four nephews, Pink (Amy) Davis of Blue Mountain, MS, Charles and Justin Wolf of Mouton, AL, Shawn Davis of Lyndonville, NY and two nieces, Katie Skidmore and Kayla Secore of Lyndonville, NY.

The family would like to give their deepest thanks to Melissa Davis for her loving care, support, and kindness during the time of Mattie’s illness. We cannot thank you enough for the sacrifice and care you have given her. You are truly a blessing to the family.

There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 112 N. Main St. Lyndonville, NY 14098.
