Maryann “Cookie” Snyder

She was born September 14,1949 in Albion, the daughter of the late Leslie and Maryann T. Becker.
On July 28,1967 she married Gilbert M Snyder and together they celebrated 58 years.
Cookie was a housewife and a member of Albion Bible Baptist Church. Cookie enjoyed watching NASCAR and watching and feeding birds. She will be remembered fondly for her great sense of humor, enjoying her neighbors, and enjoying a good meal with family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Gil of Kent, Cookie is survived by 2 daughters, Susie (Leslie) Young (Sam) of Leicester, NY and Melissa Putnam of Bergen, NY; a son, Gilly Jr of Penfield; grandsons, James Wooldridge of Kent, and Sammy Young Jr of Warsaw; granddaughter, Maddie Young of Warsaw.
She is also survived by her sisters, Jeanette (Carl) Babcock of Albion, Lori (Gerald Sr) Ford of Kent; brother, Leslie (Dawn) Becker Jr. of Churchville, along with nieces and nephews; close friend, Anita Platt of Kent and her beloved dogs, Billy and Bella.
Cookie’s family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 21 W. Avenue, Albion on Friday, May 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. Cookie’s Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at the funeral home at 11 a.m., officiated by Mark Luce and Sam Young. Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
Family and friends invited to Carlton Rec Hall 1853 Oak Orchard Rd. Albion, NY 14411, for a meal and fellowship at noon.
