Marya F. Hinchey
ALBION – Marya F. Hinchey passed away peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2025, at the age of 85.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Peter; son, Franklin; daughter, Andrea (John) Unson; grandchildren, Ian and Abigail Unson; sister, Suzanne Kopler; stepbrothers, Gary (Kathy) Wolfer and Dale (Lois) Wolfer; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marya was predeceased by her sister, Shirley (Lynn) Lilly.
Marya graduated Fillmore HS in 1957, Harper Method Beauty Salon in 1958, Coiffures by Ben’ne, Owner/operator Marya’s Beauty Salon (1963-2001). Her hobbies were collecting antiques and gardening. Marya was a member of a Bible Study group in her neighborhood. She enjoyed bowling, flower gardening, and watching grandchildren do their sports.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 23, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Fowler Funeral Home Inc., 340 West Ave., Brockport, where her funeral service will follow at 3 p.m.
Interment will be held in Mt. Albion Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
