Mary L. Ayrault

Mary AyraultMary L. (Basinait) Ayrault, 85, of Clarendon, passed away peacefully at her home Dec. 15, 2018.  Mary was born June 5, 1933 in Albion, a daughter of the late Leslie and Thelma (Mace) Basinait.

Mary was a member of Holy Family Parish – St. Joseph’s Church. She met the love of her life, Ron Ayrault, in 1946, and the two were united in marriage July 19, 1952 in St. Joseph’s Church, spending 72 loving years together. Mary’s family was the center of her life.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Ron. She was the beloved mother to Shari (Bob) Fleming of Arizona, Kevin (Ann) Ayrault of Springville, N.Y., Patti (David) Baker of Brockport and Pam (Kevin) Sargent of Albion; adoring grandmother to Joseph (Annmarie) Ayrault of Albion, Stefanie (Jimmy) Peruzzini of Albion, Jimmy (Megan) Baker of Brockport, Phillip Sargent of Albion, Sara Ayrault of South Carolina, and Savannah Baker of Brockport; loving great-grandmother to Wesley and Emma Ayrault, Kamryn and Kendall Peruzzini and Samantha Baker; loving sister-in-law to Patricia (Jim) Scibetta; and dear friend of Phyllis (Sam) Petralia. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Arnold and Mildred Basinait.

The family will receive friends at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion, on Wed., Dec. 19 from 2 to 5 p.m. Mary’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thu., Dec. 20 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Parish – St. Joseph’s Church, Albion. Interment will be private.
