Mary Helen Verratti

GASPORT – Mary Helen Verratti, 92, passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on April 28, 2023. She was the eleventh child born to Paul and Lydia Renaud of Sully, Iowa on December 31, 1930.

Mary is survived by her loving, devoted husband, of 71 years, John Verratti, whom she married on January 16, 1952. She was the loving mother to John (Tammy) Verratti, Dan (Ruth) Verratti, Eunice (Tim) Arendt, Tim (Ruth) Verratti, Phil Verratti and Connie (Tim) Hayhoe; and the loving Grandma to 20 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

Of her original family, Mary is survived by her brother Gerrit Renaud of Pella, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Miriam Renaud of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Patty Renaud of Hemmet, California, Marg Renaud, of Des Moines, Iowa, and Elaine Zwanzig of Hopedale, Illnois.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Baby James; 11 siblings; a grandson and a granddaughter-in-law.

Friends and Family may pay their respects at the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, NY on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at The Chapel Lockport Campus, 25 Walnut Street, Lockport. Interment will take place at Hartland Central Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY, 14094.
