Mary A. Klotzbach

Mary KlotzbachMary A. Klotzbach, 98, of Albion, went to be with the Lord on Sat., Oct. 12, 2019 at The Villages of Orleans in Albion. She was born on April 8, 1921 in Hornell, N.Y., a daughter of the late Fredrick and Lula (Bartel) VanDruff.

Mary grew up in Hornell and then lived in Tioga, Pa. before settling back to Wellsville, N.Y. while she attended three years of Bible College. On July 3, 1948, she married the late John P. Klotzbach, and they settled in Albion.

Mary worked for 13 years at General Electric in Brockport, and she also worked as a tailor for Perfecto Dry Cleaners in Albion. In her later years, she cared for the elderly in their homes. Mary was a devout member of Oak Orchard Assembly of God Church, for which she and her husband ministered to the patients of North Wing at Medina Hospital every Sunday for many years. She also was a member of the woman’s ministry and was a Sunday School teacher for the children’s ministry. She enjoyed flower gardening and sewing, specializing in making wedding gowns. Mary also enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

Mary is survived by her three sons, John “J.P.” Klotzbach of Albion, Dayton (Sandy) Klotzbach of Virginia and Darrell (Vicky) Klotzbach of Medina; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother, Paul (Marion) VanDruff of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Thu., Oct. 17 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Oak Orchard Assembly of God Church, 12111 Ridge Road, Medina NY 14103, where a funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. with the Pastor, Rev. Daniel A. Thurber, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
