Mary A. DiGuilio

Mary A. DiGuilio, 98, of Albion passed away April 27, 2022 at the Martin-Linsen Residence.  She was born Aug. 25, 1923 in Albion, a daughter of the late Anthony and Nancy (Nenni) DiGuilio and had lived in this area all of her life returning in 1978.

Mary was a graduate of Albion High School, class of 1941 and graduated from Highland School of Nursing. She served in the U.S. Army Nursing Corp. during WWII and was a member of the Albion Sheret Post #35 American Legion. Mary was a former employee of the Veterans Administration Hospitals in Staten Island, Albany and East Orange NJ and was also a member of Holy Family Parish.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters: Elvia DiGuilio, Helen DiGuilio; brothers: Joseph DiGuilio, Louis DiGuilio, Guido J. DiGuilio; aunt, Enes Nenni. She is survived by a special friend, Marcia Bowles; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There are no prior calling hours. Her funeral service will be held Mon., May 2 at 1 p.m. at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 W. Ave., Albion.  Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Supportive Care of Orleans, 14080 NY 31, Albion NY 14411.
