Mario “Mike” Mana, 71, of Albion, died July 24, 2019 surrounded by his family at the Buffalo VA Medical Center. He was born Oct. 29, 1947 in Auburn, N.Y., a son of the late Salvatore and Doris (Pealo) Mana, and he lived in this area most of his life.

Mike served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Veteran Bikers Motorcycle Club. He was an avid hunter who liked shopping at the Goodwill store. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will remember him as a jokester.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Louise; children, Mario Mana Jr. of California, Anthony (Kelly) Mana of Lyndonville, Angelo Mana, Christopher Mana and his wife of Florida, Katrina Mana of Oakfield, and Cassandra (Mike) Murphy of Florida; stepchildren, Laurie Froman and Sherrie Carter, both of Albion; several grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Taddeo of Florida and Dorothy (Ernie) Bullivant of Colorado; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandson, Chadd Froman; sister, Janet Young; and brother, Roy VanPatten.

The family will receive friends on Mon., July 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion, where his memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. followed by military honors.
