Marie B. Tortorice
Marie B. Tortorice, 95, of Albion, passed away March 23, 2019. She was born Jan. 16, 1924 in Bennington, N.Y. to the late Clarence and Minnie (Ike) Bender.
Marie was a retiree from Albion Correctional, where she was a corrections officer. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, and vacationing at various places.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Nunzio “Torchy,” in January 1991; and her siblings, James Bender, Harold Bender and Eva Lyons; and granddaughter, Sandra Lynn Tortorice.
Marie is survived by her sons, Tom (Carole), Richard (Chantal) and James (Janine); 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sat., March 30 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Merrill Grinnell Funeral Home, note address: 21 West Ave., Albion NY 14411, where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Albion Cemetery.
