Margaret J. Reynolds

ALBION – Margaret J. Reynolds, 92, passed away in her sleep February 21, 2023. She was born in Rochester, NY on January 24, 1931, a daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Richey) LaPier. She was raised by Edward and Grace Jones and spent most of her life in Albion.

Margaret enjoyed being outside when she could be in the nice weather either mowing the grass, tending to her chickens or taking care of her garden. She had a passion for taking care of her household cats throughout the years and an occasional dog now and then.

She would knit mittens for family and friends of the Community Action in Albion. She also was known to pick up spare change whenever she was out grocery shopping, saving it in a change purse to donate it to people less fortunate. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Margaret is predeceased by her husband James Ethridge Reynolds on May 9, 1977.

She is survived by her six children, Melody (Linda Rinas) Reynolds, Randy (Kelly Olin) Reynolds, Monique (Micki) Reynolds, Martha (David) DeShong, Robert (Julie) Reynolds and Maureen (Mo) Reynolds; grandchildren, James (Shelley) Robbins, Daniel (Cara) Robbins, Chloe (Gary Reyer) DeShong, Bronte (Rachel Lake) DeShong, Olivia Heck, Ilene (Jonathon) Coe and Alea Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Renora Robbins, Tripp Robbins, Gabby Robbins, Gibson Robbins, Graham Robbins, Nora Coe and Lylah Coe.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 25, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 21 West Ave., Albion where her funeral service will be held right after at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Mt.
