BROCKPORT – Lynne Harvey Cox was born on July 23, 1938 and went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2022, when God called her home.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Wesley S. Cox, several loved and spoiled Papillions including her most special Kali Girl, and three brothers, Wesley, Jimmy, and Nate.

Lynne is survived by her children Jerry (Lee Ann) Glogowski, Jeanne (Mark) LaFountain and Sandi Glogowski; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her siblings Paul (Violet), David (Dawn), Mark (Sheryl), Jeanne (Vic) Flow and Jon (Lisa); and many other loved family members from the Harveys, Glogowskis and Coxes.

Lynne was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and many of her fondest childhood memories were made during this time. Her father became a traveling preacher, and Lynne and her family lived in many different states throughout the South.

Lynne attended Roberts Wesleyan College, where she graduated with a degree in education and where she met her first husband Jim. Lynne was an avid writer, and while raising her children, had many articles published in various magazines and newspapers.

Being a teacher was Lynne’s most precious passion, and during these years Lynne was a substitute teacher and later a teacher in several school districts in the area. She loved teaching, and she was loved by her students.

Lynne met her second husband Wes many years later and had a wonderful life together.  They loved going on cruises every year after tax season, gambling at the casinos, trips to the Rez, having family over, and laughing as often as they could. They owned three gift shops in the Rochester area which they loved, and together they had a life well lived.

After Wes’s passing, Lynne moved to Spencerport where she had many friends she enjoyed and loved at Hickory Hollow.

Even through hard times, Lynne always loved the Lord and found strength in Him. When asked what she wanted said when this time came, she said, “Just say Mom enjoyed life. Something simple.”

And so we say, with love, that Mom/Lynne did enjoy life! She found the value of being cheerful, and being herself.
