Louella Mae Didget Hill, 78, of Richmond Indiana, passed away on Tue., May 31, 2022 from natural causes.  She was born in Batavia, NY on June 10, 1943 to Harold and Dorothy Didget and later became the loving sister to Rodger.  She graduated from  Stafford High School and then from Oneonta College with a degree in Home Economics, Health and Nutrition.  After marrying David Hill in 1967 and acquiring her Masters in Health and Nutrition from The Ohio State, they moved around the midwest, landing in New York, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana.

Lou’s priorities in life were faith, family, friends, sewing, and square dancing.  She could be identified by anyone in the room when she laughed, which she did often.  She loved any worship music and was always looking for ways to deepen her faith.  Lou was happiest in life when she was behind a sewing machine. She held many alteration jobs over the years and loved to sew for family and friends.  She also loved square dancing and created cherished friendships while executing an allemande left.

Louella is survived by her daughter, Kathie (Peter) Zaleski, Richmond, IN; granddaughters: Kayla and Mary Alice, her cat Dottie, special cousin, Sandra Didget, Johnson City TN; and many other cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, David Hill; son, Roger David; daughter, Dawn Elizabeth; brother, Roger; and her parents.
