Lottie M Stefaniak

MEDINA – Lottie M. Stefaniak, 97 of Medina, NY, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 24, 2026 at the Medina Memorial Hospital.

Born on July 16, 1928, in the Town of Shelby, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Sygnet) Stefaniak.

She worked various jobs, including working at Heintz and Birdseye. Lottie was also a seamstress for Hickey Freeman and eventually retired from working at Bernzomatic. Lottie loved animals and had a particular fondness of cats. She was a gifted, self-taught artist and drew many pictures of women’s faces and fashion. In her spare time she enjoyed her flower garden, baking and sewing.

Lottie is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Lottie is predeceased by her siblings, John Stefaniak, Josephine Grabowski, Stanley Stefaniak, Sophie Strickland, Helen Maier and Anthony “Tony” Stefaniak, and three nephews, Steven Maier, Daniel Stefaniak, and Joseph Grabowski.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 9 AM- 10 AM at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., Medina, NY 14103, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebration to follow at 11:00 AM, at Holy Trinity/St. Mary’s Church, 211 Eagle St., Medina, NY 14103.

Memorials may be made in Lottie’s name to Holy Trinity/ St. Mary’s Church or to PAWS Animal Shelter, 3371 Gaines Basin Rd, Albion, NY 14411.
