Loretta Antonett Clark

ALBION – Loretta Antonett Clark, 81, of Albion, New York, peacefully passed away on February 12, 2021 in Douglasville, GA. Loretta was born Loretta Jones in Sylvester, Georgia to Thomas Jackson Jones, and, Roena Russell on June 24, 1939.

She went to high school at Carver High, in Delray Beach, Florida, and graduated in 1959. She worked as a factory line supervisor for Duffy-Motts for 14 years. She enjoyed knitting afghans, throwing backyard parties, and watching Jeopardy. She was very active in her church as a choir member, book keeper, and Mother of the St. Paul Baptist Church.

Loretta is survived by her sisters, Edna Whitaker of Florida and Dorothy Adams of Georgia; brother, Ulysses Jones of New York; daughter, Anita (Allen) Ransom, GA; sons, Tommy Wall and Billy Wall, both of NY; grandchildren, Freddie Simmons Jr., Antwan Simmons, Marcus Wall, Zaria Rice, Noah Wall, Atia Davis, all of NY, JaMallia Burks, CA, and Allen Ransom, GA; great-grandchildren, Jordan Simmons, Aaliyah Wall, Marcus Wall Jr., and Miracle Simmons, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willie B. Clark, Jr., daughter, Patricia Wall; sisters, Louise Jones, Dorothy Blake, Bernice Cole, Earlene Johnson, Loretha Carpenter, Willy Brown, and T.J. Jr.

Visitation will be held at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave., Albion, NY 14411 on Friday, February 19, from 3 to 5 p.m. Her funeral service will be held privately. Burial will be held at Mt. Albion Cemetery.
