Lola Burt

Lola L. Burt, 55, of Waterport, entered into rest on Tue., July 30, 2019 at her home.

Born Dec. 10, 1963 in Lockport, Lola was a daughter to Helen L. (Harman) and the late Roger J. Gilbert. She attended Medina High School, and she married Mark A. Burt on July 15, 1983. Lola worked at several restaurants in the area over the years. She was a bartender at Butts-Clark Post #204 American Legion in Medina and also worked as a cook at the Four C’s Marina at Point Breeze. She enjoyed bowling, was a Coca-Cola enthusiast, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and her boys, who she loved “to the moon and back, baby.”

She is survived by her mother, Helen Gilbert; her five sons, John (Carla Petrillo) Burt, Timothy (Amy) Burt, Joshua (Kirstie Allen) Burt, Tanner Burt-Hodgins and Dillon Burt-Hodgins; five grandchildren, Lana Burt, Arletta Rosado, Kairi, Makayli and Tyson Burt; three sisters, Becky Lynn Platter, Melinda (Durwin) Young and Diana (David) Hubbard; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Mark Burt, in 1986; and her father, Roger Gilbert, in 1988.

Calling hours will be held on Sat., Aug. 3 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
