Lois J. Sprester

MEDINA – Lois J. Sprester, 89, of Medina, formally of Middleport, NY entered into rest on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the United Memorial Medical Center, Batavia, NY. She was born on October 23, 1931 in Middleport, a daughter of the late Walter B. and Florence (Fizette) Newton.

Lois attended Roy-Hart Central School and later married the late Kenneth Litchfield, making their home in Middleport and raising four children. She worked various jobs including waitressing at the Apple Grove Inn and was owner/operator of Litch’s Store in Middleport and lastly retired from Harrison Radiator in 1995. Lois was a member of the East Shelby Community Bible Church and was a former member of the Lockport Eagles and the Medina VFW and the Medina American Legion. In her retirement years she enjoyed reading and going to the casino.

Lois is survived by her two children, Marsha Snyder of Medina and Eric Litchfield of Barker; a daughter-in-law, Tara Sprester of Middleport. Also survived are 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Lois is predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth Litchfield and her second husband, Forrest Sprester; three sons, Marty and Ricky Litchfield and Blaine Sprester; and a son-in-law, Donald Snyder.

Relatives and friends may attend a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 15th, 2021 at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Salt Works Road in Medina with the Rev. Erik Olsen officiating. *Wearing of masks and social distancing will be mandatory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Lois’s name to the East Shelby Community Bible Church,   5278 E Shelby Rd, Medina, NY 14103.
