Lois E. Morse

Lois MorseLois E. Heiligenthaler Morse, 86, of Medina, entered into rest on Thu., Oct. 24, 2019 at Medina Memorial Hospital. She was born on Jan. 9, 1933, a daughter of the late Walter and Hazel (Harmer) Dillon.

Lois was a dedicated member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, where she served on the Women’s Guild and taught Sunday School in the early 1950s. She was very active in Women of the Moose. She served in all offices, rising to be New York State Deputy Grand Regent, the top position in the state, and in 1999 she received an international appointment to become a member of the Grand Council.

She married Joseph A. Heiligenthaler Jr. on May 7, 1955, and he predeceased her on Jan. 7, 1988. She later married Phillip R. Morse Sr. on May 25, 1997, and he predeceased her on Feb. 1, 2017.

Lois is survived by her children, Scott (Peggy) Heiligenthaler and Paul Heiligenthaler, both of Medina, and David W. (Elizabeth) Heiligenthaler of Mooresville, N.C.; grandchildren, Matthew, D. Adam, Jason, Joelle, Joseph, Sara and Emma Heiligenthaler; a great-grandson, Bryson Heiligenthaler; and stepchildren, Cindy (Allen) Clark, Phillip R. Morse Jr., Connie (Wayne) Rensimer, Cathy (John) Cain and Carol (Paul) Klinger.

Besides her husbands, Lois is predeceased by a brother, Donald L. Dillon.

Relatives and friends may attend a graveside committal at 2 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 2 at Millville Cemetery, East Shelby Road, Medina.
