Lisa (Feldman) McEwen-Smith

MONTANA – Lisa McEwen-Smith passed away peacefully in her Montana home on November 26, 2022.  Lisa was the daughter of William and the late Cecelia (Hoffman) Feldman of Lyndonville.  She grew up on the family farm and acquired a love of animals, especially dogs.  She graduated from Lyndonville High School and went on to St. Bonaventure University.  She was a talented graphic designer and spent time in her career at Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Nobel Learning. She was married to the late Steve McEwen during her time in Philadelphia. She enjoyed gardening and was a great cook, like her mother. She shared her passion for cooking with friends and family.  She later married Ed Smith, and they enjoyed building a home and cabin, and hiking together in Montana for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Ed; father, William; sister, Claire (Ed) Salvatore; brother, Timothy (Tina) Feldman; nieces, Emily Salvatore (Tyler Bull), Valerie Salvatore (Chris Hertel), Margaret (Andrew Hydock) Feldman , Elizabeth Feldman, and Abigail Feldman; in-laws Frances Muldoon, Fran (Dan) Tozzi, Sheila Smith Garrity, Andrew (Beth) Smith; nieces Meghan, Deirdre, Bridget, Stephanie and Kelly; nephews Ed and Christopher from the Smith family and also several loving members of the McEwen family.

A memorial mass in celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 36 Lake Ave. Lyndonville, NY.  Donations in her memory may be made to your local animal shelter.
