Lewis Wright

Lewis P. Wright, 55, of Lockport, passed away on May 20, 2019 after a brave, fierce fight against cancer. Born July 14, 1963 in Newfane, he was the son of Lorraine (Madriska) Shelton of Newfane and the late Lawrence Wright.

Lewis earned his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Brockport and owned and operated The Wright Clerk of the Works Team Inc., construction management, for 20 years. Most notably, some of his projects were with the Medina School District, renovating the athletic house, and with the Lockport City School District. Lewis was an avid bowler who achieved a perfect 300. He was a passionate golfer and a member of Shelridge Country Club. He loved spending time on his boat, watching his Boston Bruins, attending concerts at Artpark, and his two beloved cats, Big Daddy and little Missy. Lewis was full of life and love, ever giving and caring. He was an inspiration to anyone he met and for all who knew and loved him. For Lewis, “it is all good.”

Besides his mother, Lewis is survived by his siblings, Larry (Joanne) Wright of Canandaigua and Lorrie (Gregory Maguire) Wright of Boston, Mass.; niece, Brianna Wright; nephew, Corey Wright; his longtime girlfriend, Teresa Burton; dearest friend, Gladys Kitchell of Burlington, Mass.; and family, Jennifer (Michael) Gledhill, Jaclyn (Billy) Forbes and Joelle (Mikey) Fuller.
