Leslie ‘Butch’ Thomas

American flagWATERPORT – Leslie “Butch” Thomas, 83, passed away October 17, 2020.  He was born in the Town of Barre on May 22, 1937, a son of the late Merl and Maxine (Herrod) Thomas.

He was a graduate of Lyndonville High School and a former employee of P.D. Ricci Inc. Butch served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He loved to work on cars, hunt and received the greatest joy spending time with his grandchildren.

Butch is survived by his daughters, Terry (Rob) Eaton, Patti (Craig Fiegel) Hayes, Cindy (Mark Follman) Perry and Sandy (Joe Jurinich) Mitchell; grandchildren, Wayne Turner, Valerie (Fred) Kohls, Jamie (Jason) Klotz, Ryan Mitchell, Ben Hayes and Grace Hayes; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth (Les) Fisher and Pat (Jim) Fuller; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a sister and brother.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W.
