Leona BlosenhauerLeona F. Blosenhauer, 92, of Holley, died Aug. 18, 2020 at Unity Hospital. She was born Nov. 4, 1927 in Hannibal, N.Y., a daughter of the late Fredrick and Hazel (Manning) Salisbury, and she lived in this area most of her life.

Leona was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Holley and a former member of the Fancher-Hulberton-Murray Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. Leona will be remembered for her love of baking.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph E., in 1990; her son, David; brothers, Glenn, Irving, Arthur, Victor and Truman Salisbury; and sisters, Leah Smonds and Doris Hines.

She is survived by her sons, John (Jeannine), Gary (Sandy), Joseph (Barbara), Donald (Mary) and Tom (Chris); 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 16650 State Route 31, Holley, on Fri., Aug. 21 from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by her funeral service at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Everyone is required to wear face masks upon entering the funeral home. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
