Kurt H. Lewis

He graduated from Medina High School in 1966 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. On returning home, he was employed as a Maintenance Mechanic with the former Fisher-Price until its closing in May of 1997. Lastly, he retired from Oliver Gear of Buffalo in 2012. Kurt loved anything to do with camping and boating. He was a boating enthusiast and traveled on many waterways around the country. After retirement, Kurt enjoyed wintering in St. Petersburg, Florida.
He is survived by his children, Shelly (Jeremy) Taylor of Coleman, MI, step-daughter, Sharon (Michael) Izzy of Hamburg, NY, and step-son, Douglas (Jamie) Murphy of Portland, Oregon; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother, Greg (Sue) Lewis of Orlando, FL; several nieces and nephews, and his late partner’s family.
Kurt was predeceased by his long-time partner, Linda Urbach and a by a son, Casey.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., Medina, NY 14103, where a funeral service will be held at 12 noon. Burial will be private for the family, with full military honors.
