Kim Hartsen, of Denver, Colorado, entered into rest June 16, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born April 25, 1948 to his parents Arnold (Coach) Hartsen and Lois (Houseman) Hartsen. He graduated from Lyndonville High School and Ithaca College.

In the 1970’s he made a 12,000-mile journey across the country in an old International van. He settled in Seattle for the next seven years where he met his wife April. He followed April to Denver, Colorado where they married and had two children. Kim and April have traveled internationally as well as trailer camped together throughout the western United States.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, April Montgomery; daughter Cara and son Chris who live close and had seen their parents often; sister, Pam Hartsen (husband Jon Sering) from Sequim, Washington and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Kim’s many friends will miss him both as a friend and as an invaluable resource. Kim could build, repair and install anything from appliances, to vehicles, to carpentry to residential construction. Many of their homes are filled with his craftsmanship. All will be at a loss without him.

A private memorial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
