Kenneth Orval Paisley Jr.

Kenneth Orval Paisley Jr., of Middleport, passed away on June 25, 2019 after a short illness. He was born Nov. 9, 1963 in Berwick, Pa., the son of Mary and the late Kenneth Paisley Sr.

Ken grew up in Berwick, where he was active in scouting, earning the Eagle Scout rank. He graduated from Bloomsburg University, after which he pursued a career in environmental science. He came to Western New York in 1993 to work for Sevenson Environmental as their Technical Service Manager, a position he held until he became disabled in 2018. He was also a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). Ken was a member of the Coles Creek Sportsman’s Club. He loved the outdoors and conservation, a love he passed on to his children. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was the consummate “hockey dad.”

In addition to his mother, Mary (the late Kenneth Sr.) Paisley, he is survived by his wife, Lauren (Sionko) of Middleport; children, Daria and Thomas of Middleport; sister, Kathy Jo (Brian) Minnick; sister-in-law, Traci (Steven) Phillips; nieces and nephews, Chase, Abbigail, Kirstin, Samantha and Violet; mother- and father-in-law, Ray and Marion Sionko; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport, on Sat., June 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ken’s memorial service will be held following visitation. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
