Keith W. Newman

American flagKeith W. Newman, 94, of Lyndonville, entered into rest peacefully on Wed., Sept. 1, 2021 at the Niagara Hospice House in Lockport.

Born June 19, 1927 in Lyndonville, he was a son of the late David and Ruth (Peters) Newman. Mr. Newman served in the U.S. Navy from April 10, 1945 – July 31, 1946. He married the former Muriel N. Smith on July 15, 1950 and together raised two children. Known for his hard work ethic, Mr. Newman worked for various fruit farms in the Lyndonville area. When not working, he enjoyed keeping up on yardwork and took pride in tending to his flower gardens.

He was recently predeceased by his son, Keith D. Newman on Aug. 25, 2021; brother, George (Myrtle) Newman; and sister, Shirley (Charles) Heideman.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 71 years, Muriel N. Newman; daughter, Susan (Anthony) Fiasco of Middleport; daughter in-law, Tina Newman of GA; grandchildren: Aaron Newman, Valerie (Travis) Brasseur, Danielle (Justin) Seefeldt, Joshua (Sara) Fiasco and Jakob Fiasco; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Alice (Walter) Crutts; sisters in-law: Patricia (Gary) Suzanne and Carol Beeby; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside committal service will be held on Wed., Sept. 8 at 11 a.m. in Hartland Central Cemetery, Gasport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, who were of great comfort to Mr. Newman and his family during his final days, at 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
