Kathleen M. Kelly

Kathleen M. Kelly, of Medina, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the Medina Memorial Hospital.

Born in Medina on July 4, 1947, Kathy was a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Dorothy (Levanduski) Balcerzak. She graduated from Medina High School in the class of 1965 and married F. Michael Kelly, Jr. on May 27, 1967. The couple resided in Medina and had two children, Brian and Patrick. Kathy was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, St. Mary’s Church in Medina. She was an avid NASCAR fan and also loved to bowl and bowled in the local bowling leagues for many years. She also enjoyed going to steam shows. Kathy was a phenomenal cook and enjoyed canning vegetables from their garden with her husband, Mike. Kathy’s family was her heart and soul.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Michael Kelly of Medina; sons, Brian Kelly of Rochester and Patrick Kelly of Medina; brother, Paul (Hilary) Balcerzak; sisters in-law, Jane Balcerzak and Marlene (Clarence) Smith; also several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, James Balcerzak.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, Jan. 9 from 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Parish, St., Mary’s Church, 211 Eagle St., Medina. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
