Kathleen Kickbush

MIDDLEPORT – Kathleen H. “Granny”, “Kathy” Kickbush, 76, passed away September 30, 2022 at the Martin Linsin Hospice Residence in Albion after a brief illness surrounded by her family. She was born July 10, 1946 in Batavia, NY to the late Donald and Constance (Kowalik) Brazzell.

Kathy in her 76 years touched countless lives. She was a kind, sweet and generous woman who made everyone she touched a better person. She had a big heart and a great personality and was spunky up until her passing. Kathy loved to read, play BINGO, cards, crochet, go to Florida and spend time with her dog, Max. Her greatest love was her family, spending time with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids brought her so much joy.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Perry in 2016; brother, William Brazzell; sister and brothers-in-law, Edith and Frasier DuBois, William Baty; and nephew, James Brazzell.

Kathy is survived by her children, Michael (Danielle) Kickbush and Kimberly (Jeremy) McCauley; grandchildren, Kaela (Sean) Martin, Morgan (Ernesto) Camacho, Chase (Spencer) Hill, Jenna (Michael Johnson) Kickbush and Aydan Kickbush; great-grandchildren, Leia Martin, Grayson Martin, Everly Martin, Lyla Rodriguez and Niko Tkach; sister, Maureen (Earl) Ruhlman; sisters-in-law, Norma Baty and Cindy (Daniel) Boyler; brother-in-law, Douglas (Nancy) Kickbush, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kathy’s family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St. Middleport, NY 14105 on Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 4 to 7 p.m. where her funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Hartland Central Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kathy’s name may be made to Supportive Care of Orleans 14080 Route 31 West, Albion, NY 14411 or to Friends of Medina Dog Park.
