Karen L. Tabor

MEDINA – Karen L. Tabor, 71, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023.

Born on June 8, 1952 in Medina, Karen was the daughter of the late Earl and Irene (Dayer) Schoelles.  She was a graduate of Lyndonville High School, Class of 1971.

She married the late Charles A. Tabor, Sr. on July 8, 1972.  Karen worked at the Medina Dairy before dedicating herself as a homemaker. She was a parishioner of the former Grace Baptist Church in Medina for more than 40 years, where she previously taught Sunday School and attended weekly services with her family. In 1998 she completed her studies in Early Childhood Development at Genesee Community College and worked several years as a day care provider for Head Start and other organizations prior to her retirement.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tabor was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles (1999) and brother, Roger (1965).

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Charles (Julia) Tabor, Jr., Jennifer Tabor and Laura Clark; grandchildren, Katie Clark, Michael Clark, Chloe Tabor and Sophia Tabor; brothers, Duane Schoelles and Garry Schoelles; sisters, Darlene Pritt and Debbie Klatt; numerous nieces and nephews, including great-nephew, Mackenzie Barrett.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, Oct. 12 from 10am-12pm at the Calvary Tabernacle Assembly of God, 11031 Maple Ridge Rd., Medina where her funeral service will immediately follow at 12pm.
