Judith S. (Laubacher) Gott, 53, a former Albion resident, passed away peacefully at her home in Houston, Texas after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Medina on Feb. 28, 1966, grew up in Albion, and lived in Houston for the past 29 years.

She loved working in the mortgage industry, along with being a devoted mother and grandmother. She cherished her family and friends, who meant the world to her. She always hoped and prayed to win the lottery so she could take care of those who surrounded her.

Judi is predeceased by her daughter, Sarah Laubacher; and her father, Carl Laubacher Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Al Gott; mother, Donna (Stahl) Laubacher; siblings, Andrew (Tayna) Laubacher, Denise Laubacher, Kathleen Ashbery, Marsha (Gordon) Hutchinson and CJ (Allison) Laubacher; grandchildren, Tristan, Mackenzie, Caiden and Parker Tower; two stepchildren, Jennifer and Brandon Gott; two step-grandchildren, Natalie and Nicole Gott; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of Judi’s life with family and friends at Tillman’s Village Inn on Sat., April 6 from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. There will be a 10 a.m. memorial service on June 22 at Holy Family Roman Catholic Parish in Albion.
