Joseph Russo

Joseph R. Russo passed into eternal life peacefully on June 1, 2019. He was born June 11, 1947 to the late Joseph M. Russo and Jennie (Folino) Russo.

He is survived by Debra (McCauley) Russo and their two children, Anthony J. Russo and Kelly (Russell) Duffield; grandchildren, Brody, Brett and Aubrey Hoffmeister, and Eden, Francesca and Charlotte Russo; and great-grandchildren, Nathan, Alaina and Brayden Hoffmeister, and Kolton Cooke.

Joe graduated in the Medina class of 1965 and served from 1966 to 1968 in the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed curb setter by trade, and he operated P+J Construction. Joseph was co-founder of Rudy’s Diner in 1988, along with Debra. Joe loved playing cards, and having his morning coffee at Rudy’s with the guys. Joe had a love for older cars, and for going to flea markets and garage sales.

There will be no calling hours, and a family burial will be set at a later date.
