Joseph R. “Ronnie” Ostrowski, 72, of Albion, died Feb. 13, 2019 in Rochester General Hospital following a short illness. He was born Dec. 8, 1946 in Albion to Joseph and Eleanor (Telga) Ostrowski and was a lifetime resident of this area.

Ronnie was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a former member of St. Padre Pio Church in Elba. He was a former member and past Vice President of the Four Seasons Sportsman’s Club, loved spending time outdoors, and was a passionate lover of animals.

He is survived by his siblings, Elaine Ostrowski of Albion and Paul (Laura) Ostrowski of Greece; his aunt, Shirley Zambito; his niece, Alexandra (Lucas) Allamon of Virginia; his nephew, Mark Ostrowski of Tennessee; his great-nephews, Greyson and Ezra Allamon; as well as many cousins.

The family will receive friends at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion, on Sat., Feb. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather for Ronnie’s Mass of Christian Burial on Mon., Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church, Albion. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery with military honors.
