Joseph Edward Combo Sr., 95, of Elba, passed away on Nov. 7, 2019.

Born in Rochester, N.Y. on Feb. 27, 1924, a son of the late Patsy and Lillian Combo, he lived his youth in Caledonia. He married Rowena Monroe Combo in 1948 and raised his family in Elba.

Joseph was a muck farmer who enjoyed hunting and socializing with other farmers in the area. He took great pride in his family and cherished each moment with them.

Joseph is survived by his children, Kathryn (Charles) Combo Fernandez Brown of Alexandria, Va., Joseph Edward Combo Jr. of Batavia, Margaret Combo Mooney of Medina, and Elizabeth (Glenn) Combo Pearles of Albion. He was greatly loved by his grandchildren, Alicia Fernandez Hogan, David (Allison) Fernandez, Patricia (Darren) Combo Zgainer, Robert (Kelly) Combo, Matthew (Keith) Mooney Galantowicz, Karrie (Jason) Mooney Banfield, Jeremy (Alisha) Mooney, Chris (Kerry) Pearles and Andrea (Kenny) Pearles Robinson. He leaves 13 great-grandchildren, who always put a smile on his face during family gatherings. He is also survived by his sister, Grace Antinore; sister-in-law, Loretta Combo; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Rowena; his brother, Carl Combo; and his brother-in-law, James Antinore.

Family and friends may call on Wed., Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake St. Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy, where his funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Interment in St. Columba Cemetery, Caledonia, will immediately follow.
