Joseph D. “Joey” Arico

Joseph D. “Joey” Arico, 59, of Medina, passed away on Mon., May 23, 2022.

Joey was born on July 28, 1962, to the late Joseph V. & Genevieve (Pitcher) Arico. He was seven when the family moved to Medina in 1969. Joey volunteered for the Red Cross and many other charitable organizations in Medina. He also worked for EMSA for several years. He loved his mother and cared for her until her passing in 2001. Over the last few months, he shared with us his love for our Lord Jesus Christ and looked forward to his homecoming in Heaven. “He is finally Home.”

Joey was predeceased by his parents, Joseph V. and Genevieve Arico; sister, Donna Chaplin; and brothers, Jeffrey Haun and Douglas Haun.

He is survived by five sisters: Rosemary (late George) Hall, Madelyn Wasnock, Jennifer Arbasak, Paula Incorvia, Charlotte (Gonzalo) Lopez; three brothers: Mark (Susie) Arico, Nicholas (Corinna) Arico and Harold “Butch”(Lora) Arico; brother in-law, James Chaplin; and many nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his Goddaughter, Sunshine Heschke.

A private family viewing was held at Cooper Funeral Home, Medina. He will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date.
