John W. “Jack” Lusk

CLARENDON – John W. “Jack” Lusk, 87, passed away September 29, 2022 at the Martin Linsen Residence. He was born April 26, 1935 in the Town of Clarendon, a son of the late John L. and Velma (Warn) Lusk and had lived in this area all of his life.

Jack served in the US Navy. He worked and retired from General Motors in Rochester as a machinist for many years. Jack enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, gardening, fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Mary Howard; baby sister Mabel; daughter Molly; grandson Dylan; brothers Don, Dan and Dennis; sisters Dorothy, Birdie and Mona; and son-in-law Arthur DiPilato.

He is survived by his children Joann DiPilato, Amy (James) Richardson, Jacquelyn Lusk, Evan Lusk and Mary (Leonard) Vanelli; grandchildren Cole, Logan, Maggie, Shane, Ethan, Molly, Katie, Lee, Justin, Jessa, Rachael, Honna, Dennis, Sarah and Shawna; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Anita (Peter) Trupo as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Route 31 Holley on Monday, Oct. 3, from 3 to 4 p.m.  where his memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Hillside Cemetery.
