John J.R. BaleJohn R. “J. R.” Bale, 68, of Medina, passed away on Sun., March 15, 2020 at his home. He was born on Dec. 12, 1951 in Medina, a son of the late Raymond J. and Beatrice L. (Reigle) Bale.

John was a model train enthusiast who worked on many layouts, including working with his close friend, Marty Phelps, at the Medina Railroad Museum. He was a former Lions Club member for both the Medina and Coatesville, Pa. chapters.

John is survived by his two children, Amy (Benjamin) Barry of Lyndonville and Andrew (Ann) Bale of Medina; many grandchildren; three siblings, Jeffery and William Bale and Dawn (Gary) Marciszewski, all of Medina; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, John is predeceased by a brother, Lawrence Bale.

There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in John’s name to American Diabetes Association, 4955 N. Bailey Ave. #217, Amherst NY 14226.
