John L. Lettis

PLANTATION – John L. Lettis, 91, of Plantation FL, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2023 after a short battle with cancer.

John (Jack) was born on April 13, 1931, to Charles Lettis and Edith (Smallhorn) Lettis in Albion N.Y. After graduation from high school Jack went on to serve our Country in the U.S. Navy as a Radioman Petty Officer third class (RM3) on the USS Van Valkenburgh during the Korean war. After being discharged from the Navy Jack went on to work for the Ford plant in Buffalo N.Y.

Upon retirement Jack moved to Plantation, FL. where he enjoyed painting and spending time with his friends.

Jack is predeceased by his parents Charles and Edith Lettis, brothers, Donald Lettis, Richard Lettis, and Roger Lettis. He is survived by his niece, nephew, several cousins, and many close friends.

There will be no calling hours or services held as he requested.

Jack will lay to rest in the columbarium at South Florida National Military cemetery, Lake Worth, Florida.
