John C. Forrester, 71, died April 25, 2019 in his home while under the care of his family and Hospice of Orleans. He was born Oct. 19, 1947 in Albion and lived in this area all of his life.

John was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a volunteer for the Orleans County Veterans Transport Service. He was extremely proud of his affiliation with AA and of the fact that he had maintained 25 years of sobriety.

Mr. Forrester was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen, in 1986.

He is survived by his daughters, Christine (Gibby Williams) Forrester of Albion, and Patricia (Robert J. Burch Jr.) Forrester of Holley; his grandchildren, Jessica, Ashlie, John, Jakob, Latasha, Trent and Alicia; great-grandchildren, Lylia, Lain, Tyshon and Brandon; his ex-wife, Debbie Forrester; and lifelong friends, Ken and Alexis Strickland and Ken Strickland Jr.

There will be no calling hours. Service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
