Joanne RyderJoanne M. Ryder, 79, of Lockport and formerly of Middleport, died March 1, 2019 at Eastern Niagara Hospital. She was born Nov. 26, 1939 in Middleport, a daughter of Leroy and Mary (Kozloski) Klino, and she lived in this area her entire life.

Joanne was a member of Holy Trinity Parish – St. Stephen’s Church, the Lions Club of Lockport and the Kenan Center Arts Council, and she was a 1958 graduate of Royalton-Hartland Central School. She enjoyed traveling, and she particularly enjoyed going to Colorado and the Thousand Islands. Joanne also loved to shop and play golf. She and her husband never took a trip without having two sets of clubs in the car. She loved to dance, enjoyed music, and was a very caring, strong, opinionated and independent woman who will be remembered as a free spirit.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bruce; her son, Greg Ryder of Colorado; her daughter, Marci (James) Cleary of Fairport; her grandchildren, Mackenzie and Jack Cleary; sisters, Clara Lou Sadlocha of Middleport and Geraldine Liuzzi of Middleport; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be scheduled at a later date, and burial in Hartland Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
