Jean Bruning

Jean earned her Master’s degree, and Bachelor of Science with a major in Library Education. She was a librarian at the Tompkins County Public Library in Ithaca.
She inspired thousands of students with her passion for literature and her unwavering support. A lifelong lover of words and stories, she is now undoubtedly browsing the grandest library in the sky.
Jean is survived by her sister, Anita (late Paul) Markham of Michigan; sisters-in-laws, Janet Bruning of Lockport, Karen Bruning of Florida and Marge Bruning of Virginia. Also, many nieces and nephews and cousins in Lockport, Akron and in various states.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her siblings, Duane Bruning, Fay Bruning, Rev. Alton Bruning, Clayton Bruning and Susan Bruning.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Tuesday, February 10, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon with funeral services immediately following at 12 noon at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1212 West Ave., Medina, NY. Burial will be in Mt Pleasant Cemetery in West Shelby at a later date.
