Janet E. Knight

ALBION – Janet E. Knight, age 72, passed away peacefully at the Martin Linsin Hospice Residence in Albion on September 18, 2023. She was born December 14, 1950 in Syracuse, NY to the late William and Virginia (Reed) Muntz.

Janet grew up in New Hartford, NY and graduated from New Hartford High School. She attended SUNY Morrisville and later attended Genesee Community College. Janet worked for various local businesses during her life including Fisher Price, Medina Memorial Hospital, Rainbow Preschool/Arc of Orleans and also the Villages of Orleans. Janet found many songs that related to her life. When you think of her, she wishes that you listen to “Live Forever” by the Highwaymen.

Janet is survived by her children, Sheldon (Lisa) Knight of Pittsford, NY, Timothy Tower of Albion and Kadie Tower of Henrietta; grandchildren, Leila, Samara and Emma; siblings, Barbara Muntz, Madelyn Warner, William (Linda) Muntz, Linda (Jim) Krut and Robert (Donna) Muntz, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There are no prior calling hours or public services for Janet. Janet’s family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the lovely caretakers at the Martin Linsin Hospice Residence, specifically Stacy and Michelle.
