James N. “Jim” Traufler

American flagALBION – James N. “Jim” Traufler, 88, died Dec. 28, 2020 at the Villages of Orleans.  He was born June 16, 1932 in Springville, NY, a son of the late Norbert and Hazel (Widrig) Traufler and had lived in this area since 2002.

Jim served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marines during Korea.  He drove truck for many years and had also worked as a mechanic for Krantz Trucking and for Darien Lake Amusement Park.  Jim was an absolute sweetheart and was a kind man; especially to children and animals.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters: Virginia and Eleanor.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Virginia; his son, Jim (Ashley) Traufler; his daughter, Jamie Traufler; grandsons: Camerin and Derek.

Services and Military Honors will be held at the convenience of the family in the spring of 2021.  Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project,  P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
