James J. “Jim” Heschke

James J. “Jim” Heschke, 68, of Albion, NY, was called home on Wed., Oct. 27, 2021 at the United Memorial Medical Center, Batavia NY, with his loving family at his side.

Born on Aug. 23, 1953 in N. Tonawanda, NY, he was the son of the late Clarence and Grace (Neumann) Heschke.

Jim graduated from Medina High School in 1973. He was employed with Kodak for 25 years, while he was farming part-time. He left Kodak to peruse his love of farming full-time.  Jim retired from working at Torreys Farm in the spring of this year. He was a member of the Light of Victory Church and the Holley Rod & Gun Club, where he enjoyed target practicing with children and grandchildren. Jim loved keeping in touch with family and friends through social media and loved being outdoors while working, taking long drives and going for walks.

Jim is survived by four daughters: Tracy (Jeremy) VanAmeron, Sunshine Heschke, Christina Heschke, Jamie Heschke and numerous grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Also surviving are two siblings: Ruth (Robert) Allis, Charles (Virginia) Heschke; brother-in-law, Arthur Hengerer; and many nieces and nephews.

Beside his parents, Jim is predeceased by a sister, Laura Pask and a grandson, Maceo Poole.

There are no calling hours. Relatives and friends may attend a memorial service on Sat., Nov. 6, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Light of Victory Church, 47 Brown St., Albion, NY 14411. Burial will be private for the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jim’s name to the Light of Victory Church.
